Flat Tour

Here's a video tour of my flat! Thanks goes to my parents for buying me the camera that can take video. =) I think the end got cut off but I don't know why... Ah well. Enjoy!

I'm here!

It's not as difficult to realize I'm in Scotland as I expected... I mean, I can look down a street and see a castle. A castle, people! How many people can say that? Well, I'd better keep this short since I only have about 13 minutes left at this internet cafe. Internet at my flat should be set up tomorrow so I'll have much better access once that's done. Speaking of my flat... It's amazing! It's definitely a place for students/young people since it's modest but modern. My flatmate has been extremely nice and I'm really looking forward to getting to know him more.

Goals for tomorrow include: Food shopping, learning how to use the shower, talking to the BUNAC office to see if I can get a used mobile off of them, and wandering around.

I've taken many pictures since I left Seattle and I'll be able to post some of those once I get hooked up to the internet at the flat. Hope you're all doing well!

Atlanta!

I'm here in Atlanta using a computer/rented office, checkin' e-mail and wandering around. The flight from Seattle was decent... Watched The Illusionist and an episode of Alias, both of which I hadn't seen before. Now I've got a few hours to kill before I need to be at my gate to head for Edinburgh. I can't believe it's nearly 4 pm here... I feel like I'm time traveling!

Oh, and I have pictures from the first flight but I'll have to post those later. =)

And the countdown begins...

Less than one day, six hours until I get on that plane.

I'm just finishing up the last load of laundry before packing everything completely in my luggage. So exciting!

Here's the itinerary for the next few days:

27 December
Depart Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington on the 1:40 pm ferry
Have dinner with friends and family in Bellevue, Washington at 6:30 pm
Check into hotel for the night

28 December
Get up super early, possibly around 3:00 am
Check in at Sea-Tac airport an hour or two before flight departure
Plane leaves bound for Atlanta, Georgia at 6:30 am
Plane arrives in Atlanta at 2:08 pm and I get to enjoy the airport scenery for a few hours
Plane leaves bound for Edinburgh, Scotland at 8:25 pm
Plane arrives in Edinburgh at 9:35 am
I take a bus from the airport to Waverly Station, then take a taxi to my flat
Arrive at the flat and meet flatmate before he takes off for work

It's all happening so fast... I can't believe it's finally happening!
